Brief description of project:

Urban Upgrading Project in Da Nang is located in the sub-projects to upgrade urban projects in Vietnam (VUUP) consists of 6 components: 1) Upgrade the infrastructure level 3, 2​​) improve the quality of infrastructure level 1 &2; 3) housing and Resettlement; 4) housing and land management; 5) Foundation of repair and upgrade housing; 6) capacity Building.

Thep riority infrastructure investment Project management unit Danang (DN-PIIP) with city policy no slums construction are looking for reasonable solution for community-based of resettlement for low-income residential areas . The project will be implemented in 2 stages. And one of the basic objectives of the project is to improve basic infrastructure and services in low-income residential areas in Da Nang approach based on communities and their demands.

Consultant contractor scope of works:

Community Planning upgrade (CUP):

1) Preparation of the community plan preliminary upgrade (CUPS) for each low-income areas based on the opinions of community approach involving the community and prepare basic infrastructure for granted 1, level 2 and level 3 is based on the results of (CUPS) preliminary;

2) In conjunction with the preparation of plans to upgrade the community towards low-income neighborhoods, providing consultancy training services aimed at supporting the process of planning / participatory design in the low-income residential areas: i) Improving the capacity to participate in community projects involved during the design phase, ii) capacity building of the staff of Ward / District / City  to support community projects; iii) Raising awareness of the processes involved in the community.

Raise institutional capacity include: capital investment planning, planning strategically for urban housing and land management, management of urban infrastructure, urban Financial Management.
