Prepare investment report and basic design - Rural water supply and environmental sanitation project for the central provinces subproject in Tien Loc, Thanh Hoa province

The project consists of 2 components:

• Water supply: As the main part of the total project investment, this component  aims to build a new water supply work that conforms the QCVN 02 2009/BYT standard and serves 9,565 people in Tien Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province by the year of 2020. The water treatment station has capacity of 1,200m3/day.
• Improvement of public and household sanitation conditions: equivalent to 4.2 million VND will be provided to each of 140 poor households having no toilet in the manner that the project will take charge of building underground structure, conforming the Ministry of Health's 2010 standard septic tank design; A credit of 6 million VND, equivalent to the investment for a proper sanitation toilet, covering procured materials and civil work will be provided to each of non-poor households, needing to build toilet though the Revolving Fund for Sanitation; 1,730m of drainage canal in the residential area where there is currently the clogging will be constructed and improved;

Total investment fund:   1,485, 027 USD, Including:

• ODA fund (88.45%):   1,313,574 USD.
• Counterpart fund (11.55%):  171,454 USD of which 4.26% is contributed by the beneficiaries and the other 7.28% are from the local budget.
