Brief description of project:

The project "Improve capacity on Water Resources Management and public services at Ninh Thuan province” is cooperation projects between the State of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium represented by the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC). The project was signed in December 2009.

The overall objective of the project is aimed at improving the living environment and socio-economic development in the province of Ninh Thuan. Specific objectives: to improve environmental sanitation, water resources management and public services in the province of Ninh Thuan.

The result of the project:

 Improved coordination structure and planning of water resources management at the provincial, district and commune

Improved system of public service provider in the management of water resources through improve capacity of stakeholders

Construction management system and provide suitable services for the river basin

Improved Health and Living Environment in Phuoc Dan

To raise public awareness and improve infrastructure in Phuoc Dan

Improve the living environment for the people of Khanh Hai

To raise awareness about water use and establishing a network to exchange information to other projects

Consultant contractor scope of works:

• Identify stakeholders;
• Survey assessment training demand of stakeholders;
• Identify suitable training facilities;
• Prepare a comprehensive training strategy and training plan in 02 years, including projected funding for training.
