Brief description of project:

Project water supply and rural sanitation Red River delta is done in 2 stages, support for a national strategy for water supply and sanitation in Vietnam 2020 (RWSS 2020). The project was funded through a loan program flexibility of IDA (APL), including 4 main components: 1) Component 1: Infrastructure Development Water and Sanitation; 2) Component 2: hygiene behavior change; 3) component 3: Strengthen capacity for community, government structures and facilities management unit; 4) component 4: Support for management, monitoring and evaluation projects.

The enterprises Joint Stock of rural water and sanitation (RWSS) provincial level in the stage 1has now been set up. Responsibilities of the companies are:

Owning of the assets of the centralized water supply has been completed and the latrines or communal drainage scale.

Manage the entire process of operation and maintenance has been decentralized.

Consultant contractor scope of works:

Support improve capacity for businesses of water supply and sanitation in 4 province Stage 1 : Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh and Hai Duong include:

  • Direct consultation issues arising in the course of business operations
  • Survey demand of improvement capacity, training plans and open training classes as well as local focus
  • Arrange visits to the typical pattern
  • Guide and support business planning, business expansion
  • Seminar to exchange experiences
  • Surveying actual situation and demand support in stage 2 for 8 provinces, organizations and community seminar to choose the level of management models after appropriate investment
