Project brief description:

Water and Sanitation Program of the World Bank has launched a global initiative on water supply and sanitation for the urban small for the purpose of: a set of lessons learned and draft guidelines to improve the water supply and sanitation for the urban small to be replicated on a global scale.

The study included the following objectives:

• Identify innovative management models have different perspectives are used in the provision of water supply services and sanitation in towns and townships;

• Evaluate the effectiveness of management models that, in terms of the institutional aspects, financial, social, and environmental engineering as well as the satisfaction of the users;

An interdisciplinary research team has designed include engineers, finance experts, and social scientists, and especially the evaluation team conducted the study participants. The research team assessed in 7 provinces

Describe the services which Consulting contractor performs:

Description, preliminary evaluation of the situation CNVs towns and townships throughout the country, were presented at a national workshop to discuss with experts and relevant agencies, to survey selected provinces.

Survey CNVs towns and townships in the province were selected to test the thesis, the data in the original report, rapid assessment of all the towns and townships in the province were selected to determine 22 towns and townships have water or sewer system to focus on in-depth research.

Detailed study management model works CNVs in terms of institutional, financial, technical, efficiency, and satisfaction of users in 22 towns and townships in the method community participation (MPA).
